Mustard Soup Objects & Charitable Purposes –
“For the public benefit to promote and protect the physical and mental health of people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in particular but not exclusively young people and their families and carers by providing support, education and practical advice and facilities, services and activities for recreation.”
Registered Charity Number 1171361
Mustard Soup is founded and run by volunteers all of whom have been directly affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
We work closely with Neurology Department at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, the MS Therapy Centre Norwich and other local & national charities to provide emotional & practical support, education, advice, social events and counselling to families, particularly younger people, affected by MS in Norfolk and surrounding areas.
If you or a family member are affected by MS we can help you, via our MS Buddy Service and Case Management Service, access emotional and practical support to help you get life back on track following diagnosis.
We hold regular social and educational events events in Norfolk which provide opportunities for young people and families affected by MS to meet others who understand the challenges that living with an MS diagnosis can bring.
Above all we aim to inspire and help our service users to continue living life to the full. As scary as an MS diagnosis can be, with the right support it is possible to continue living an active and fulfilling life. An MS diagnosis does not mean the end of one’s hopes and dreams, but at times a little redirection and additional support might be needed along the way! And that’s where we come in ….
